Daily Prompt: Learning

via Daily Prompt: Learning

I know, almost everyone who is reading this has been through school, or is in school currently. And when you graduate, you think “yay, no more books, no more tests, no pop-quizzes, no more 5 paragraph essays…” Once you are through all the schooling you choose to sign up for (High School, College, Trade School, Doctorate, Hard Knocks, Choose Your Own Adventure), you can celebrate because the structured learning imposed by others is truly finished.

“But wait, there’s more!”

When those times end, a new session of learning begins, and this one should last FOREVAH… The good news is, you get to choose what to learn from here on out.

The key is to always find something to learn. Complacency is a true killer of dreams.

Don’t worry, I’m not going to administer any tests… life will do that itself. Your job is to find something(s) that fuel your fire, ignite your passion and then delve deep into them to keep learning so that you may improve your impact but also your joy.

Read, write, ask, discuss, watch, paint, investigate, all of these are forms of learning and you get to choose where to put your energy and time. The amazing thing is your brain always has room for more! A few weeks ago I posted about this very thing, check it out here.  Push those limits, test your knowledge, explore what you want to explore.

When you continue to learn, your thirst for more knowledge increases and your happiness expands!
